Western Sidesaddles

Photos of Western-style sidesaddles.

SC Gallup Goodnight western sidesaddle. This saddle was developed by Colonel Charles Goodnight in 1892. It is a heavier saddle that stands up well to the rugged terrain found by Col. Goodnight and his wife in the west. The saddle has heavy, double layered, squared skirts, a mohair double cinch, a rawhided tree and durable seat material.
The Steele Deluxe Western Sidesaddle. The Steele sidesaddles are very popular. This saddle has a movable upright horn and a leaping horn with three positions. It is a great saddle to buy if several riders must share one sidesaddle.
